Types of Resumes

A Chronological Resume is a list of work experience and education history in chronological order showing most recent first. This type of resume should easily show limited experience and gaps in employment. Specific related experience can be hard to find in this format.

Accuracy - Look for spelling, grammar and tone.

Email Address - No email? May not be comfortable with technology.
Home Phone - Is there an unprofessional message on the home machine during a job search?
Positions - Look for accomplishments, not just duties.
Effectiveness -Look for well organized, easy to follow resumes.
Interests and Activities - Look for interests that are in line with the position.
Honesty - Recent studies show over 30% of job seekers stretch the truth. If something doesn't look right, it could be a fabrication.
